A ALALC como auge da integração sul-americana no século XX

Resumen

Nos anos de 1950, Brasil e Argentina passaram por experiências políticas semelhantes: o nacional populismo de Getulio Vargas e Juan Perón e o desenvolvimentismo de Juscelino Kubitschek e Arturo Frondizi. Numa situação internacional em que os Estados Unidos não investiam no continente, a Europa reentrava no comercio mundial e o bloco soviético fazia pressão, abriu-se uma brecha para que os paises do Cone Sul construíssem uma união econômica e política de combate ao subdesenvolvimento. Por conta disso tudo, Brasil e Argentina patentearam uma notável aliança diplomática, resultando na Associação Latino Americana de Livre Comercio (ALALC), desmontada após os golpes militares de 1962 na Argentina e 1964 no Brasil.
