Resumen

Este artigo procura entender o processo de intensificação da concentração da riqueza numa região da capitania de Minas Gerais e, com a análise da composição da riqueza dos inventaria-dos mais ricos da região, identificar as transformações nos padrões de investimentos da elite local entre os anos de 1713 e 1773. A análise dos investimentos desse grupo, por meio de inventá-rios post-mortem, mostrou-nos a presença da produção rural voltada para o mercado interno entre as atividades mais dinâmicas e lucrativas nas Minas ao longo do século XVIII.
