Résumé

Este artigo tem por objetivo apontar elementos para uma compreensão das migrações internas e migrações internacionais durante o século XX, particularmente as que ocorreram a partir da II Guerra Mundial. A reflexão sobre os deslocamentos populacionais nos leva a considerar uma multiplicidade de fatores que lhe são explicativos e, ao mesmo tempo, coloca-nos diante de muitas representações que emergem de sua dinâmica, bem como de sua potencialidade transformadora.
