Résumé

O cenário artístico-musical francês, no término do século XIX e primeiro quartel do século XX foi dominado por debates entre os tradicionalistas e os inovadores. Nesta conjuntura cultural, o impressionismo enquanto forma musical surge e se estabelece no cenário da Belle Époque. O trabalho que se segue busca, neste sentido, analisar a produção musical de Maurice Ravel (1875–1937), e relacioná-lo com o contexto e com a temática da Primeira Guerra. Assim sendo, averigua determinadas obras deste músico, que também lutou durante o conflito, e que, marcadamente, sofreram influência deste conflito. Palavras-chave: Maurice Ravel. Música Francesa.
