This article aims to monitor the surveillance and repression activities promoted by the military regime through the National Information Service (SNI), within the scope of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). We take, as an object of research, the production of data regarding the academic community during this period and, for this, we use documents with restricted access in the context of their production, whose secrecy was “broken” a few years ago, in addition to sources oral documents, photographs and news published in newspapers. The sources allow us to identify the authoritarian mechanisms used by the military regime to curb university student resistance in the Amazon.
