Abstract

Este artigo analisa a influência do novo associativismo religioso e do capital social na gestão pública do município de Guaraciaba, localizado no oeste de Santa Catarina. Através do estudo realizado buscamos entender a rede organizativa do novo associativismo religioso articula tanto os movimentos sociais, os grupos de igreja, o sindicato de trabalhadores rurais, os conselhos municipais, o Orçamento Participativo, como também os integrantes do quadro administrativo da Prefeitura Municipal e tem gerado um capital social, um nível de confiança interpessoal que alimenta e realimenta a vida pública de Guaraciaba, e mantém o PT à frente do governo local por quatro mandatos seguidos.
