Abstract

Este texto aborda a organização da família popular porto-alegrense no início do século XX e a influência que o Juízo dos Órfãos exercia para reorganizar o social. Baseado em valores sociais cul-tivados pelos grupos elitistas, a Justiça julgava os casos que a ela eram apre-sentados procurando regar o social por meio de suas ações.Palavras-chave: Família.
