Esclavos, estancias y elite. Continuidades y rupturas en la administración de la estancia jesuítica de Paraguarí tras la expulsión de los jesuitas, 1760-1780

El artículo aborda la relación entre el surgimiento de la estancia ganade-ra en Paraguay hacia fines del siglo XVIII y el uso de la población esclava. Se aproxima a esta realidad a partir del análisis de un caso de estudio, la estancia de Paraguarí que hasta 1767 pertenecía al colegio jesuita de Asun-ción. Podemos ver también en este caso como las nuevas tierras dejadas por los jesuitas fueron aprovechadas por la elite asuncena. Palabras claves: Jesuitas. Esclavos. Paraguarí.Descargas
