Abstract

Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) has a great potential to provide security and entertainment applications for ITS (Intelligent Transport System), and to improve road traffic safety. Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication is essential for the vehicular automation process and is used in places where there is no Road Side Unit (RSU) structure implemented, and also to complement V2X communication, as it helps to reduce the load traffic in V2X with high density of vehicles. Thus, this work proposes the use of the Multi-Table Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (MT-AODV) routing protocol on VANET/V2V networks to overcome the recurring obstacle of communication degradation in networks with high vehicle density and communication failures.
