Peer review policy

Articles must be submitted by Electronic Journal Publishing System - Open Journal Systems System (OJS), through user registration.

Works submitted by the authors are pre-evaluated by the editors for their form and suitability to the journal's editorial policy. If rejected, the authors receive notification. If accepted, they are referred for merit evaluation by the ad hoc panel of researchers, composed of researchers/Doctors from various institutions in Brazil and abroad. The merit evaluation is registered in an online form, according to the following criteria: presence of the essential elements in the abstract; textual consistency and coherence; contribution of the work to the area of education; relevance and sufficiency of the argument; discussion of results and conclusions; adequacy of writing to the educated norm of the Portuguese language.

Each subject is evaluated by two double-blind reviewers, and a third is consulted in case of conflict. The opinions are for internal and exclusive use of the editorial team. The names of the reviewers involved in each assessment are not disclosed to the authors. Likewise, the authorship of the subject to be evaluated is not disclosed to the referees. Authors are notified by the journal's electronic system about acceptance, recommendation for review or refusal of their work.

In case of approval with suggestions of adjustments or in case of refusal of a work, a summary of the aspects pointed out by the evaluators is sent to the author. Texts requiring adjustments should be forwarded by the authors within 10 days.

The editors reserve the right to reject the text if it does not comply with the requests made. All articles approved for publication are submitted to language revision and standardization, according to the journal's stylistic and formal norms, and the final exam is submitted to the authors' approval. Articles should be destined for the journal exclusively. Bibliographic references that are inconsistent with publication standards may lead to rejection of the article.
