Abstract

This article aims to reflect on a specific experience of teaching open online courses on the history and current affairs of the Middle East, to a Brazilian audience, in times of the Covid-19 health crisis. The experience of the Study and Research Group on the Middle East (GEPOM) is understood as an exercise in Public History and Global History, and reflections in this sense are presented. The feedback of the students – from different backgrounds and from diverse places in Brazil and abroad – regarding this experience is also briefly evaluated.
