A GUERRA AO TERROR E O CINEMA HOLLYWOODIANO DURANTE O GOVERNO DE BARACK OBAMA

Os atentados de 11 de Setembro de 2001 foram explorados como um novo marco histórico e muitos discursos políticos alertavam o mundo sobre o “novo” inimigo, o terrorismo islâmico, foram apropriados por diversos países, tornando-se uma estratégia internacional antiterrorista. Os conflitos iniciados por George W. Bush não foram finalizados em seu mandato, novos grupos terroristas e novos conflitos surgiram, seguindo como um fardo para seus sucessores. Pretende-se aqui expor os principais aspectos da luta contra o terrorismo empreendida pelos EUA durante o governo de George W. Bush e seus impactos no cinema e na sequência mapear e situar algumas produções e temas que circundam o governo de Barack Obama, a fim de compreendê-los dentro do processo histórico da Guerra ao Terror, numa análise dos registros fílmicos e da escrita fílmica deste capítulo da história dos EUA.
