Abstract

This article aims to contribute to the discussion about the State's actions, public policies and the directions of this articulation for the peasants, considering the relations existing in the state apparatus and the presence of antagonistic social status with different interests, which can be observed in the formulation. and implementation of public policies aimed at agribusiness and the peasantry. In this sense, it is brought a theoretical review and the use of interview conducted during field research to complement the discussion presented. With this, it can be concluded that the state is the result of contradictions within its own structure, observable through the existence of antagonistic social status, power struggle and the elaboration of public policies that subordinate peasants to capital, instead of allowing them autonomy.
