Abstract

Paulo Freire's article is the result of a lecture given in 1984, on the occasion of the 1st National Colloquium on Popular Education, in Passo Fundo, under the coordination of the 7th Nucleus of the Teachers Center of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. The event occurred between the 23rd and 26th of October 1984.
