Public education policies serve as the basis for all actions and practices in education. Therefore, this article aims to problematize public education policies, with a focus on Human Rights, in the states of Amazonas and Paraná. To achieve this objective, we used bibliographic and documentary research, with qualitative data analysis. Our study reveals the need to integrate Human Rights Education into all levels and modalities of education, as the plurality of Brazilian society requires public education policies that foster the development of critical and conscious individuals capable of confronting and overcoming prejudice and discrimination of various kinds.
