Impacts and consequences of the high school reform for Human Sciences at IFPI Parnaíba

The objective of this study was to analyze the impacts and consequences of the High School Reform in the Humanities disciplines among teachers who work in the Integrated High School courses of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI) - Parnaíba Campus. For this purpose, a field research was carried out, with a qualitative and descriptive approach, through a semi-structured interview, with 03 teachers as participants. From the participants' responses, it was identified that the implementation of the reform in the institution occurred to the detriment of democratic management, that the reform implied the reduction of the workload and critical thinking, deepened educational inequalities and hindered the articulation between the contents of general education and professional education. Finally, the teachers positioned themselves against the implemented model.
