Mangabeira Unger's Constitution of democratic experimentalism is a formulation that establishes a distinct relationship between democracy and constitutionalism that is not situated in the more canonical models of liberal, republican and deliberative democracy. Understanding the concept of Constitution of democratic experimentalism depends on knowledge of Mangabeira Unger's theoretical framework. To this end, Mangabeira Unger's slogan that “Everything is politics” will be explored. Next, the relationship between Law and the concept of democratic experimentalism will be developed. Afterwards, the relationship between democracy and constitutionalism will be presented. At the end, the essay “The constitution of democratic experimentalism” will be revisited for a (re)reading using the author's own theoretical resources.
