Abstract: The individuals with deficiencies represent about ten per cent of the world’s population and should be included in society. In view of this situation, the objective of this work is to present a new perspective on the work of people with disabilities, considering the international rules and the evolution of this right in Brazil, with special attention to the Law nº. 13,146, of July 6, 2015, denominated Statute of the Person with Disability. This paper ponders the possibility of disabled persons having the same freedom and equality is other workers, demonstrating that for each disability there is a different sense of efficiency of these individuals. The revision of these categories is carried out by updating their references, in view of the recent developments in the human sciences and the historical events that led to a profound revision of the critical positions.
