Cultural plurality in the new Constitutionalism of Latin America

Abstract:
The constitutional history of Latin America is marked by various ideological movements. Those movements have left indelible traces on the constitutional texts of the countries of the region. At the same time, to a large extent, the constitutionalism of Latin America is characterized by a conservative history in terms of cultural diversity, indelible to the region. Over the past few decades, however, there has been the emergence of a new concept of constitutionalism. This concept is committed to the great ethnic and cultural diversity of the region. This work aims to relate the phenomenon of the new constitutionalism of Latin America and its commitment to cultural diversity.
