Abstract: This article aims to analyze poverty and exclusion in the modern conjuncture, based on the right to sustainable economic development. The development of this article is carried out in four sections. The first deals with the idea of sustainable development, followed by the analysis of sustainable economic development in the second section. The third section deals with the relationship between citizenship and the right to development. The last section addresses the right to sustainable economic development in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. The difficulty of finding forms of social insertion leads to the urgent need to rebuild the State in the quest to combat poverty and social exclusion, to the effectiveness of citizenship, starting from the right to have rights, as well as the concreteness of the human right to development. Development assistance to poor countries emerges, it is urgent that coordinated actions be taken by rich countries as well as by the poor themselves, reflecting the realization and realization of rights to development and development through a global pact for the right to development.
