Abstract

The present article has like central objective analyses the wines production in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in two vitiviniculture regions with different peculiarities one of other one: the Serra Gaúcha and the Campanha Gaúcha. In the first one, the vitiviniculture makes part of the Italian culture that colonized the region and the wines are worldwide recognized by his originality and quality. In the second, the development of the vitiviniculture is centered in the edaphoclimates studies and in the interest of complementing the activity of bovine cattle-raising present in the great rural property of the region. To orientate the discussion of these two realities the descriptive inquiry was used, leaving from the work of field and revision of literatures, describing and analysing the phenomenon.
