With the reform of the “New” High School, traces of neoliberal ideology are evident. In this context, the article problematizes some issues related to neoliberalism, the curriculum and the implications of the neoliberal ideas present in the High School reform. To achieve this, we mapped studies that approach these concepts using the Cartographic Method from a post-critical/post-structuralist perspective. We found that neoliberal ideology materializes as the “entrepreneur” in education, a category that is highly stimulated by the logic of the flexible market, which is very present in the “New” High School model. The conclusion is that there is an intense process of making education more precarious, resulting in access to an even more fragmented education, geared towards the demands of the capitalist job market. Therefore, the need to fight for a return to humanistic education is highlighted.
