The Pedagogical Work Thought as Praxis

This text aims to present a differentiation between praxis and pedagogical practice, in the dimension of educational work. Both terms are used as equivalent in the educational context, which denotes ignorance of their real meanings and meaning implications. To this end, the article aims to reflect on the Conception of Adolpho Sanchez Vásquez as to the philosophy of praxis, as well as the concepts of educational and pedagogical practice, in correlation with teaching work, in an attempt to present definitions, differentiations, similarities and indissociability. The text therefore proposes an interlocution with the considerations on teaching work, outlining it, from the perspective of pedagogical praxis, understanding that this is an educational action that is expected for a dialogical and emancipatory education. The theoretical basis of the approaches carried out, regarding emancipatory education, is based on Freiriana pedagogy, especially in the work “Pedagogia do Oprimido”. The reflection attributes visibility to the concepts of praxis and practice, collaborating for the discussions that outline the perspective of pedagogical work as a transformative, reflective, liberating and predominantly dialogical social activity.
