Abstract

The article reflects on necrophilia to understand in part what has been the behavior of politicians and citizens in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. In Paulo Freire, in the Pedagogy of the Oppressed, and in his source, Erich Fromm, The heart of man, he seeks subsidies for this understanding. Rehearses aspects of the ethical, political and educational repercussions and indicates some learnings necessary to face necrophilia. The basic thesis is that necrophilia feeds practices that are destructive of life and that are exacerbated in moments of serious crisis, such as the pandemic.
