The The reconstitution of the historical process of the Novo Ensino Médio in the state of Rio de Janeiro

The article aims to analyze the processes of formulation and implementation of the Novo Ensino (New High School), particularizing the case of the state of Rio de Janeiro. It is a process of dispute over the direction and design of a school education project held between several subjects. A survey of the main normative instruments that support the Novo Ensino Médio was carried out, as well as the historical reconstitution at the federal level of the confrontation for the protagonism of this educational policy. Subsequently, an excerpt from the most recent trajectory of the state education network in Rio de Janeiro was exposed, in which it was verified that there were already actions that were very close to the formative perspective of the current high school. In the sections ahead, the text focused on bringing in detail the specific process in the state of Rio de Janeiro, both the moment of formulation of the bases that consolidated the New Secondary Education and the implementation in schools in 2022. It is concluded that it was a process of little participation of the school community as a whole and that offers a curricular matrix that empties the formation of working-class youth of scientific knowledge.
