This article focuses on the main reflections of a qualitative sociocultural narrative research, whose objective was to understand the elements necessary for teacher learning through collaborative work. The research was developed in a municipal school in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul with teachers and administrators. The instruments used for data collection were Semi-structured Interviews and Conversation Circles guided by topics. Among the considerations, the importance of the theory and practice relationship and the openness to continuous learning, seeking to reflect, study and (re)create theories, are highlighted. Another important element is the collaborative work, which makes it possible to share knowledge and build new knowledge. Thus, the teacher learns through a network of relationships, provided in the school context, in which each element is fundamental and contributes to the construction of shared knowledge.
