Abstract

Work is understood as an educational principle as a humanizing action through the development of all human potential. Taking this concept into consideration, this study aimed to analyze how work as an educational principle is presented in the documentary records of the mandatory curricular internship of the Food Technician course Integrated into High School at the Instituto Federal Catarinense, Concórdia campus. Methodologically, this is basic research with a qualitative approach. As for technical procedures, it is a bibliographic and documentary research. This is a case study. The data produced was analyzed using the content analysis methodology. The results indicate that it can be considered that the internship allowed the construction of work experiences, involving the student with information and knowledge of practical application that contributed to their professional training, basic conditions for understanding work as an educational principle.
