This paper aims to analyze the challenges faced by Kambeba leaders in building intercultural education at the Kanata T-ykua indigenous school. The theoretical framework is based on studies by Valéria Weigel (2000), Paredes (1996), Mariana Ferreira (2001) and Catherine Walsh (2007). The methodological procedures used were bibliographical research and narrative research, using the experience report instrument. The education of the Kambeba people is brought into the classroom by the elders and by the societal projects worked on by the Kambeba teachers. The results show that, at the Kanata T-ykua indigenous school, the indigenous teachers are fighting for an intercultural education, in which all pedagogical activities in the classroom value the traditional knowledge of their people.
