Abstract

Education and health go hand in hand with the aim of guaranteeing the right to education for students undergoing health treatment who are unable to attend school. To this end, in-patient pedagogical care allows students to continue their learning routine during hospitalization. Teachers adapt the teaching content in order to guarantee the students' academic progress. This text aims to present a discussion on the legal narratives regarding hospital pedagogical care between 2012 and 2023, through a documentary analysis with the aim of mapping the growth of hospital classes in Brazil, and the relationships established between educational and health bodies. The study identified a significant growth in hospital schools in Brazil during this period and the importance of cooperation between health and education teams for the proper functioning of hospital classes.
