The objective of this article is to understand how the changes brought about by the Secondary School Reform impact the Integrated High School curricula at Federal Institutes and, consequently, the omnilateral and polytechnic concept that should guide the development of such courses and the education of the students who attend them. The reform deepened the flexibility framework of a curricular that weakens the concept of comprehensive and omnilateral training, which are fundamental and structuring elements of these institutions. Through documentary analysis of the Pedagogical Projects of Technical Courses (PPC) integrated into Secondary Education, from 15 Federal Institutes (IFs) in Brazil, it was revealed that curricular flexibility is widely present in the IFs, although with different levels of coverage.
