The research focuses on the action of non-state actors in the right to menstrual dignity. It is hypothesized that the lack of equitable access to rights relating to the menstrual period results in indignity. The research problem is: how can non-state actors, international and national, contribute to the realization of this right in Brazil, in the 21st century? The general objective is to investigate the possible participation of non-state actors in implementing the right to menstrual dignity; and the specific objectives are: a) Investigate the recognition and implementation of menstrual dignity by international non-state actors; b) Analyze the construction of the right to menstrual dignity by non-state actors in Brazil in the 21st century. The approach method was dialectical, using historical and comparative procedures It is concluded that non-state actors influenced national recognition regarding the topic, however, existing public policies are insufficient to promote this right.
