This article, in its first section, presents the complete portuguese translation of the text Resisting Left Melancholia, by the american theorist Wendy Brown, as well as explanatory notes by the translators to contextualize some aspects of the publication. In its second section, comments by the translators are presented, fostering a dialogue between the work and distinct positions that complement it or support it through dialogical lines of thought. The conclusion is that the hypotheses of the original text remain relevant for an assessment of the progressive political landscape colonized by opposing and paralyzing factors, such as those derived from economic and political neoliberalization since the 1970s, and the hegemony of the capitalist paradigm from that perspective
