The organization of cycle education in the city of Teixeira de Freitas/BA

This article aims to understand the organization of teaching about the cycle regime in the municipality of Teixeira de Freitas. The research was qualitative approach and used as a procedure for the production of data the interview with teachers and the school coordinator and the analysis of the following documents: Unified School Regiment of Teixeira de Freitas Municipal Schools - BA (2011), preliminary version of the Municipal Curriculum Guidelines for the Literacy Cycle (DCMA), as well as national and municipal legislation that contemplates the organization of cycle education. From the analysis of the material it was possible to infer that the learning cycle is the closest form to the teaching organization in the researched network, aiming to guarantee the school flow, minimize the failure rates and promote the creation of places for enrollment. at school, which seems to remain the main reasons for the adhesion of the municipal government to this organization of the education system, although it is not clear a reference about the valorization of childhood and an autonomous learning for the formation of citizenship.
