Driving without a license and after drinking alcohol may lead to serious traffic accidents. The teen population needs attention concerning this issue. Therefore, the thought of teens on prevention of traffic accidents was investigated. It consists of a qualitative research and we used the technique of focus groups with the usage of a moral dilemma. 45 Cape Verdian and Brazilian teens participated. Data was analyzed through the use of Discourse Analysis technique of the Collective Subject and it resulted in the construction of four discourses, in which the strength of moral heteronomy was highlighted. For the subject not to be exposed and put at risk his life in a traffic accident, we believe it is necessary that he sees himself as someone worthy. In order to do that, self-esteem and self-respect need to be developed as well as the construction of representations of the self with a positive value.
