Education and health: a diverse, reflexive and relational look for human development in the 21st century

Abstract

The objective of this communication is to reflect from a diversified and relational perspective on education and health. The scenario of the first twenty years of the 21st century is taken into account, with special attention to the context of the health situation in the year 2020. It is demanded with arguments, the expansion, selection and integration of knowledge in accordance with the social needs of preparation for, and all, life. The grammatical analysis of the words that make up the phrase education and health is carried out, which directs its interpretation towards the social dimension of both processes of high incidence in human development. The bibliographic review carried out highlights sustainability, together with the urgent transformation of education, with an added knowledge in favor of improving health. Interdisciplinary knowledge is fundamental, as a way of exerting influences on the new generations and with it, the guarantee of continuity in life.

  • Yoisell Lopez Bestard, University of Carlos Rafael Rodríguez

    PhD in Environmental Education by the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande (PPGEA-FURG), in the Fundamentals of Environmental Education line. Master in Physical Activity in the Community by the University of Sciences of Physical Culture and Sport Manuel Fajardo (Cuba); title revalidated by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Specialist in School Physical Education by the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). Graduated in Physical Culture and Sport at the Instituto Superior de Cultura Fisica Manuel Fajardo (Cuba); title revalidated by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), CREF: 026175-G / RS / Qualification: Licenciado and Bachelor. He has been involved in promoting the ancient martial art of Tai Chi Chuan and its use as health Chi kung for the quality of life of the elderly, with the development of community projects. Has experience in the areas: Physical Education and Public Health. His investigations deal with the following themes: Quality of Life, Health Promotion, Healthy Public Policies, Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and Complementary Integrative Practices, with an emphasis on Body Practices: Tai Chi Chuan, Lian Gong and Ba Duan Jin.

  • Juan Eligio Lopez Garcia, University of Carlos Rafael Rodríguez

    Professor and Consultant of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Culture Sciences at the "Carlos Rafael Rodríguez" University of Cienfuegos, Cuba. Doctor of Science from the University of Granada, Spain. He has developed university teaching in Mexico, Ecuador. Wrestling Coach in Mexico and Spain, and technical advisor to the Andalusian Federation of Associated Wrestling. Recognized by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a promoter of the Lucha Canaria in Cuba. He has professional experience in combat sports, especially in Wrestling and Greco-Roman, from his position as Physical Trainer and Olympic Wrestling Coach at the Sports Initiation School of Cienfuegos, Cuba. As a university teacher, he has developed subject programs on Theory and Methodology of Sports Training and Methodology and Techniques of Sports Fighting. Since his research results for Master's degree, he has dealt with the detection of needs for improvement of Fight trainers in the province of Cienfuegos. As a university teacher, he has developed subject programs on Theory and Methodology of Sports Training and Methodology and Techniques of Sports Fighting. He is President of the Honorary Chair "Martial Arts and Combat Sports" at the University of Cienfuegos. He is currently head of the Research Line: Design, control and evaluation of Sports Initiation, Training and Untraining, at the Faculty of Physical Culture Sciences at the University of Cienfuegos. Most of his research and publications focus on the systematic observation of motor actions in combat sports, motor communication and roles in Lucha Libre and Greco-Roman Wrestling.
