The article discusses the life project category incorporation process in the High School’s Reform, based on legislation and scientific production in education’s field. In the recent High School's Reform context, the life project is chosen as a specific principle that should guide the training of young people in this stage of education. So, high schools in all Brazilian regions are beginning to align their curricular proposals to meet the requirements of Law 13,415/2017. The theoretical contribution favors authors who are dedicated to the youth, school and life projects themes in a critical perspective (WELLER, 2014; LEÃO; DAYRELL; REIS, 2011; DAYRELL, 2007). The research has a bibliographical and documentary nature, based on a qualitative approach, constituting a state of knowledge, and using content analysis techniques. The results point out that in the education's field the life project's theme is emerging with recent productions. This theme's introduction in high schools will be intensified in the coming years, due to the implementation of the New High School, requiring attention from the scientific field, which should propose critical discussions about the meanings of these changes for the young people's formation.
