This study aimed to interpret the experience of health and education workers and their perceptions of the School Health Program (PSE, in Portuguese) and understand how intersectionality and integrality occur in the actions of Promoting Adequate and Healthy Food (PAAS, in Portuguese). The research is qualitative-descriptive and was based on interviews with health and education professionals involved with the PSE in the municipalities of Paraná. Content analysis was used with data management by IRaMuTeQ®ï¸ for analysis. The results showed that the PSE is better known among health workers, and the PAAS actions are more expressive in smaller municipalities and education, referring to the School Meals Program and science subjects. The study concludes that PAAS actions are not a reality in the health and education services of these municipalities or are on the agendas of these managers, and, when they occur, they are configured as assistance initiatives, individualized and disarticulated between the areas, inconsistent with the promotion of nutritional care.
