This article aims to discuss Democratic Management and the Class Council in Integrated Secondary Education, based on the analysis of legal documents from the National Education and the Santa Catarina Federal Institute ( Instituto Federal Catarinense - IFC) . The reading and detailed examination of these documents allow us to understand their relationship with the theoretical references of authors such as Paro, Libâneo, Luckesi and others who meet the scope of this study on Democratic Management and Class Councils, taking into account the characteristics and possibilities of this democratic space, aiming at the construction of collective knowledge. The study demonstrates that the Class Council sometimes deviates from its real purpose, as it has its marks on traditional and banking education, reducing itself to the judgment of students. However, it goes through a transition process, which strengthens collective and democratic work, enabling the construction of knowledge that culminates in the learning of educators and students.
