Parfor was an emergency and provisional program that had its beginning in 2009 by the Federal Government, due to the approval of the National Policy on Education for Teachership Professionals in Basic Education through the Decree nº 6.755/2009. On this research the Parfor’s implementation at the Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) have been investigated. The method we used on this research was the Historical-Dialectical Materialism, furthermore, as instruments for data collection, document analysis, semi-structured interviews with the Parfor’s coordinators as well as a questionnaire for the courses’ Professors were applied. The results showed us that the PARFOR’s implementation was riddled with challenges, either due to the non-acceptance of the Brazilian Program by UFRB Professors, from the Teacher Training Center (CFP), or the weakness on implementing the Collaboration Regime. Thus, the collegiate management among the program's staff was seen as a way to overcome the challenges arising from the Parfor’s implementation.
