The text examines the philosophy and epistemological bases of the Socio-Educational Entrepreneurial Technology - TESE management model, adopted in the state education network in Pernambuco, highlighting the organizational characteristics that structure the teachers' work routine. To do so, we analyzed documents produced by the private sector that guide the management of teaching work in schools. Our analysis is based on Gramscian concepts observed, mainly, in the text entitled Americano e Fordismo. The article concludes that the managerial rationality of this model, inspired philosophically by North American pragmatism and epistemologically by the systemic paradigm, mate rializes as a management method through the PDCA Cycle. This method transposes combined characteristics of Taylorist and Toyotist conceptions of teaching work management, however, associated with notions considered democratic to ideologically circumvent the authoritarian and centralizing structure of the model. As a result of this transposition, the teaching work routine assumes the following typical organizational characteristics of factories/companies.
