This text starts from a reflection contained in the book Civilization and its Discontents (1930) on the sources of human suffering that coincide with Adorno and Horkheimer's reflection on the concept of enlightenment as fields of social domination through the luminous and scientific discourse of clarified reason. Finally, we present Adorno's reflections on education as a liberating mechanism insofar as it constitutes emancipation, the breaking of domination, instead of obedience, the introjection of domination. To this end, we will use the texts mentioned as well as commentators when this is relevant.
