Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present, using the experience report methodology, a dynamic approach and dialog carried out in two EJA classes at a state school in the city of Salvador, Bahia. The intervention consisted of a systematized dialogical activity that allowed the students to share concrete aspects of their living conditions. The students exposed challenges related to work, presented their family dynamics and expectations about school, and expressed the impact of these aspects on their permanence and success at school. The results are discussed in the light of the following theoretical framework: Arroyo (2011a); Gadotti (2011); Paula and Oliveira (2011); Freire (1996; 2021) and Rogers (2009). The action carried out not only showed us the concrete reality of the participants, marked by challenges and potential, but also provided support for pedagogical reflection and actions aimed at the emancipation of the subjects.
