The study aimed to analyze the influence of gender, place of work, professional experience and the academic level of teachers on the selection and inclusion of teaching content in physical education (PE) classes. The sample consisted of 56 teachers, who answered questionnaires with personal information and content taught in PE classes. The results revealed that Health and Lifestyle (HLS), Sports Practices (SP) and Active Citizenship (AC) in elementary school and Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) in secondary school were the most used PE contents. SP is used more by female teachers than their male counterparts. HMF was the most used by teachers with a medium level of education. It can be concluded that the teacher's gender, place of work, experience and educational level were factors that affected the selection and inclusion of PE teaching content in the education subsystem in Mozambique.
