This article summarizes the results of a master's degree research, the objective of which was to investigate the presence of fake news in the content consumed by autistic children in a school in Santa Catarina. The research was carried out in 2022, when the dissemination of fake news through digital media gained repercussions in Brazil months before the presidential election, and the covid-19 pandemic strengthened the bond between children and digital media. The following research problem was raised: "In the videos consumed by autistic children, was there any presence of fake news?” To answer this, at first, a structured interview was carried out with autistic children. Then, as a methodological procedure, we used the Participant Research and PesquisarCOM. To analyze the videos, the systematic observation technique was used. As a result, it was noticed that among the videos selected and brought by the children, there was no evidence of fake news.
