This article is an excerpt from a master's degree research whose objective was to understand the relationship between play and the training offered by a toy library. The theoretical bases cover university toys, playfulness and training processes. The methodology used was qualitative and bibliographical research that crosses these three concepts with a greater focus on the university toy library as a locus of research and literature review. Thus, the aforementioned study was carried out based on the authors: Gimenes and Teixeira (2011), Santos (2000), Fortuna (2008), Xavier (2020, 2021) - university toy library; D`Ávila (2006), Luckesi (2005), Lopes (2004) - playfulness; and Macedo (2004, 2012, 2021), Conceição (2009), Santos (2019), Freire (1979 and 1997) and Farias (2009) - formational processes. It is concluded that innovation is possible through playful and humanizing training, considering thinking, reflecting and acting that seeks to respect the voice of others.
