This article is a theoretical essay to think about the relationship between teaching and research in teacher training. We have borrowed Barthes' notes to think about what happens between those who research and teach, when writing and reading are a problem to be considered for thinking together with students, rather than just tasks of recording and communication. Reading and writing in education are not natural, they are crossed by different forces. Hence, when reading and writing are between research and teaching, maybe we can encounter ourselves and the world in other ways, in a more affirmative path. We argue, therefore, that training for reading and writing as modes of existence does not function as something to be codified in research, and teaching is regarded as an attitude to listen and live attentive to others and to oneself, like an awakening, rather than empty entertainment.
