To carry out the research, documental analysis of the curriculum of the Unisul Pedagogy Course was used as methodological procedures, as well as data from an interview with the coordination. For the organization and analysis of the data, the Content Analysis Technique was chosen. The data revealed the presence of specific learning units related to childhood and children in order to indicate a theoretical-practical articulation for teaching in Early Childhood Education and the initial years of Elementary Education, as well as the existence of a disparity between the workload allocated training for teaching in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.
