Abstract

The study investigates the use of museological materials in formal education, focusing on the loan services offered by museums. Replicas and models enrich teaching by promoting practical and sensory experiences. The research, which adopts a qualitative approach, applied online questionnaires to fifteen basic education teachers. The results reveal obstacles such as lack of awareness of these services, logistical barriers, and insufficient teacher training. The study also identifies the need for greater dissemination and accessibility on the part of museums. It proposes strengthening communication between museums and schools, expanding continuing education initiatives, and adapting loan services to overcome pedagogical and operational challenges. The findings highlight the potential of museological materials to foster a more inclusive and meaningful science education.
